Personal Experience with Wine
I would probably say I am somewhere in the middle of an avid wine drinker and a non-wine drinker at all. When it comes to drinking wine, I occasionally will have a glass with dinner or when I'm lounging around the house with my wife. But, when it comes to drinking alcohol, I tend to stick with beer or harder liquors.
However, I have tried many different wines and have found that I do like wines that mildly sweet.
I have tried some sweet red wines that are blended with blackberries that I have found quite enjoyable. However, my favorite wines that I have tried are Carl Sittmann Riesling and Quaty Electra Moscato. When people ask for my recommendations on wine, I always go to these because they are reasonably priced and simply delicious.
By taking this class I hope to broaden my look on wines and explore new wines in the process. I think it is important to explore your pallet and exploring wine is an easy way to do that. I enjoy cooking with wine and find it very useful. By taking this class I hope to learn how to better pair foods with wines to make dinners more enjoyable.
